The feature works like a sandbox where any files that are sent to the user are kept isolated before being accessed to ensure that they are authorized. This could help to greatly reduce the occurrence of users having their devices fall victim to malicious code from messages.
The Samsung Message Guard is reported to check files that are sent bit by bit within a controlled environment to prevent them from accessing the remainder of the device where they can do damage if malicious. The feature responds to the increasing number of data breaches taking place, which have more than tripled from 2013 to 2021, according to reports.
