Jony Ive designs a unique and playful Red Nose for UK-based charity Comic Relief and its Red Nose Day. The former Apple designer came up with the design itself as it is a model that takes a flat ‘C’ shape that turns into a honeycomb paper sphere.
It is a large part of the charity’s annual broadcast that is to take place on March 17th that will be across multiple BBC channels. In a press release, the charity calls the nose “the most dramatic makeover since [the Red Nose] debut in 1988.” It has touches that are true to the designer, including the construction which is notably made from plant-based materials and comes with a small case for when it is folded flat.
