Concerns surrounding single-use products continue to grow as more consumers seek to reduce their carbon footprint, which is seeing designers come up with new ideas like the conceptual ‘Re:clean’ reusable tissue cleaner.
The appliance is positioned as a solution for ditching conventional wet wipes, which only provide a single use and are often created with plastic fibers that can leach into the environment. The appliance works by having the user select how many reusable wipes they need before having them provided; a dedicated cleaning compartment will sanitize the wipes between uses.
The conceptual ‘Re:clean’ reusable tissue cleaner is the design work of Yeounju Lee and utilizes sanitizer to eradicate all germs from the wipes between uses to keep them fresh for use.
