London-based Taiwanese-inspired restaurant BAO is preparing to release its first-ever cookbook. Since its inception, the restaurant has been making a name for itself on how it pushes the boundaries of traditional cuisine standards. The name of the restaurant is inspired by the fluffy steamed buns that are full of diverse fillings including vegetables, beef, and other meats.
The cookbook is self-titled and has a wide selection of classic BAO dishes in addition to other cultural street food that is seen across the five locations in London. The book highlights the unique stories of each site, which takes place in London’s Borough, King’s Cross, Shoreditch, Fitzrovia, and Soho. There are 240 pages in total, diving into the restaurant’s history and growth — it is now available for pre-order and will be published in March.
