Studio Hallett Ike adds a new DB Apartment, which is an extension of a ground-floor flat located in East London. The home is made with a raw exterior informed by brick walls and galvanized steel by the openings. It is a Georgian townhouse that is located in Hackney’s De Beauvoir neighborhood.
The extension retains the front of the home and adds two new volumes at the back with dark brickwork, as referenced in the namesake. It opens up onto the stepped patio and inside the kitchen is an internal opening that looks to the newly designed dining room. This also invites bright views and natural lighting with the implementation of large windows and sky lights.
