BLDG Workshop designs the new Badlands home that is entirely white in a rural area that rests just outside of Toronto, Canada. It is named after the topographic features of a local area known as the Cheltenham Badlands in Caledon.
The entire construction of the space is white including the roof, the walls, and the windows for a monochromatic look that blends right into the winter Canadian landscape. Buhler from the studio talks about the design to Dezeen, stating that “We added a couple of shocks of color that make a playful nod to the nearby Badlands. Contrasting details of Corten steel nod to the Cheltenham area connecting the home to the Badlands’ unique red earth features.”
